Kimberly Bryant, CEO & Founder of Black Girls Code and one of The Shark Group Speaking Division’s most popular keynote speakers, was recently granted use of an amazing 3,000 sq. foot space in Google’s New York office.  Although Black Girls Code will primarily use this space as a classroom, Kimberly Bryant believes that working within Google’s offices will give the girls deeper access to mentorship and internship opportunities.

The benefits of this partnership are equally as important for Google, as the search giant aims to work alongside Black Girls Code to diversify the male-dominated tech industry. In 2015, Google pledged to spend $150 million on diversity initiatives both inside and outside the office.

Black Girls Code, a non-profit organization founded in 2011 by Kimberly Bryant, is devoted to teaching young women of color the necessary skills for a future in computer programming and digital technology.
