Swin Cash is a basketball legend, a trailblazing sports executive, a respected media personality, and a dedicated philanthropist. As one of only three women in the NBA Hall of Fame Class of 2022 and a 2021 Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, Cash has redefined success both on and off the court. The New York Times has praised her as a “rare find in the business of sports,” while Sports Illustrated recognized her as one of the 100 Influential Black Women in Sports.
Over her illustrious career, Cash has transitioned from a 4-time WNBA All-Star and 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist to become the Vice President of Basketball Operations & Team Development for the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans. Her journey from the court to the boardroom is a testament to her versatility and business acumen, having previously served as Director of Franchise Development for the New York Liberty.
Cash’s influence extends beyond basketball. She’s a sought-after speaker on leadership, teamwork, and entrepreneurship within organizations. Her insights have been featured in national campaigns, including Secret Deodorant’s “All Strength, No Sweat” alongside Serena Williams. As an NBA global ambassador, she advocates for civil rights and social responsibility.
Since 2005, Cash has been giving back through her “Cash for Kids” nonprofit, providing essential tools for youth both on and off the court. Additionally, she founded the “She’s Got Time Summit,” an initiative aimed at empowering women and promoting gender equality in sports and business.
Her commitment to community and excellence has earned her praise from business leaders like Daymond John, who commended her ability to secure “an executive seat in a male-dominated world.” When Cash speaks to business groups, she focuses on building winning teams and cultivating leadership qualities that balance self-confidence with selflessness.
In a world where sports and business intersect, Swin Cash stands out as a visionary leader, inspiring the next generation of athletes and executives to break barriers and achieve greatness.
